Please congratulate Jaimee Cabili on her most recent accomplishment. On March 29, Jaimee participated in the Covestro Science & Engineering Fair at the Carnegie Science Center, where she presented her Coded Sign Language Glove.

We just received word that Jaimee received a Scholarship from Carnegie Mellon University!

Mrs. Cabili sends special thanks to CHS, the Gifted Department, Mr. Donnelly, Mr. Bassano, Mrs. Bevan, and Mrs. Martys!

The CMU scholarship is highly sought after. The details of the award are as follows:

Carnegie Mellon University awards up to two Pre-College Program commuter scholarships. The program runs from June 29 – August 10, 2019, and a scholarship recipient has the option of selecting either 1 or 2 courses as a commuter student. The scholarship value is $8,096 for 2 courses or $5,196 for 1 course. The scholarships will be utilized for the Advanced Placement/Early Admission Program, which is a challenging credit-bearing program in which students take one or two actual Carnegie Mellon classes for full credit during the summer.
